Thanksgiving 2020
Our Thanksgiving meal turned out delicious. My hubby and I cooked together for our Thanksgiving dinner. This year we fixed a Mediterranean meal instead of the traditional turkey that we normally fix every year. We made dolmades, which are made from a mixture of rice, pine nuts, currants, fresh dill, mint, flat leaf parsley, lemon juice, olive oil and chicken stock; rolled in grape leaves and slow cooked for 45 minutes. I made Tzatziki to go with it, and it was divine! We also made baked moussaka, falafels and grilled lamb kofta. The meal was absolutely delicious, and all the recipes we fixed today came from our Mediterranean cookbook. I bought the cookbook ten years ago, and all the recipes in the book have just right amount and type of spices to give the food a delicious authentic taste; just like eating at a restaurant.
